HAYDEN AREA REGIONAL SEWER BOARD

December 14, 2012

The special meeting of the Hayden Area Regional Sewer Board was held on December 14, 2012, in the City of Hayden Council Chambers at 8930 N. Government Way, Hayden, ID.

Present:           Stefan Chatwin, Dan Green, Ron McIntire, Kenneth Sewell, David Weinstein

Absent:             

Also Present:   Ken Windram, Hayden Area Regional Sewer Board-Facility System Manager; Stephanie Oliver, Hayden Area Regional Sewer Board-Secretary; Nancy Stricklin, Hayden Area Regional Sewer Board- Attorney;

The meeting was called to order by Ron McIntire, Chairman at 3:00 p.m. 

Roll Call Attendance:

City of Hayden- yes

            Hayden Lake Recreational Water and Sewer District- yes

            Kootenai County- yes

Approval of Land Purchase and Purchase Agreement

Ken Windram presented the acquisition of land adjacent to the current wastewater treatment facility, total acreage 31.512 for a total of $ 410,500.00; see enclosed purchase agreement, record of survey and legal description.  Nancy Stricklin indicated that the approval for purchase needs to be contingent upon Member Entity approval.

It was moved by Stefan Chatwin, and seconded by Kenneth Sewell, to purchase the proposed 31.512 acres for a total of $410,500 contingent upon Member Entity approval.

Discussion occurred regarding the benefit of purchasing the land, versus the cost of the land.

            Hayden Lake Recreational Water and Sewer District, Kenneth Sewell- yes

            Kootenai County, Dan Green- abstain

Motion Carried.

It was moved by Stefan Chatwin, and seconded by Dan Green, to adjourn at 3:05 p.m...
